Media Advisory: Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg Students Contribute to Food Bank
Bloomsburg, PA (06/05/2026) — Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg students have contributed $5,000 to purchase food supplies for the Bloomsburg Food Cupboard.
The food will be delivered to the Bloomsburg Food Cupboard at 342 Iron St. on Monday, June 8, at 1 p.m.
The supplies are purchased with contributions from students' unused dining account funds. Through the purchasing power of the university dining services partner Aramark, the impact of the funds has been maximized. A significant portion of these resources will support the pantry's Backpack Program, which provides children in need with food and snacks to take home over the summer months, helping bridge the gap when school meals are unavailable.
Since 2021, students have contributed more than $34,000 to the Food Cupboard.
