Commonwealth University sent more than 20 students from the Lock Haven and Bloomsburg campuses to the MLB Little League Classic in Williamsport to volunteer during game-day operations.

More than 30 education majors from Commonwealth University's Bloomsburg, Lock Haven and Mansfield locations recently got an inside look at each level of public education thanks to a collaborative project with the Williamsport Area School District. The district-wide Field Day experience was made possible by to a $9,000 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) mini grant awarded to Dr. Priya Poehner, professor of education at CU-Lock Haven, and Dr. Daniel Roesch, associate professor of teaching and learning at CU-Bloomsburg, to promote "Sweetening the Teaching Experience" and to focus on building partnerships with area schools.
