Poet Brent House to Give Reading at Commonwealth U-Bloomsburg
Bloomsburg, PA (10/11/2023) — Poet Brent House will give a reading from his debut collection at Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 6 p.m. in the Haas Center for the Arts Lobby as part of the Big Dog Reading Series. The reading is free and open to the public.
House's poems have appeared in Kenyon Review, Third Coast, and Denver Quarterly. His work has appeared in many other publications, and one can frequently find them in The Tusculum Review, where he is a contributing editor.
Growing up in Necaise, Miss., he raised cattle and watermelon with his father. Earning his MFA from Georgia College in Milledgeville, Ga. he traveled north to earned his doctorate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is currently a faculty member at Pennsylvania Western University.
