Media Advisory: Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg to Host Ninth Annual Husky Dog Pound Competition
Bloomsburg, PA (03/23/2026) — Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg will host the Ninth Annual Husky Dog Pound Competition on Thursday, March 26.
The Shark Tank-inspired business pitch competition hosted by the Zeigler College of Business will have $20,000 in prizes. More than 700 students from 70 middle and high schools will participate. The university-level competition will feature 13 students from all three Commonwealth University campuses (Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield).
The competition runs from 8 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. in Sutliff Hall on the Bloomsburg campus. Middle and high school awards will be presented from 1:30 to 2 p.m. in Haas Center, Mitrani Hall. The university competition finals will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Mitrani Hall. The university reception and awards ceremony will be held from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. in Sutliff Hall, third floor.
