Lock Haven Alumnus and Tech Industry Leader Glen Allison '94 to Give Talk Nov. 6
Lock Haven, PA (10/29/2025) — Commonwealth University-Lock Haven will welcome technology executive and 1994 Lock Haven graduate Glen Allison to campus for a special presentation, "Raising the Bar: Glen Allison '94 on Resilience, Purpose, and Professional Success," on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Price Auditorium. The event is sponsored by CU-Lock Haven Athletics and co-sponsored by CU-Lock Haven's Office of Alumni and Professional Engagement.
The evening's conversation will be moderated by Darwin Kysor, director of employer engagement and career and professional development. The program is open to students, faculty, staff, and members of the local community.
A former track and field student-athlete at Lock Haven, Allison earned his bachelor's degree in education before going on to receive a degree in Information Systems from George Washington University. Over the past three decades, he has built an impressive career in the technology industry, beginning as an early employee at AOL, where he helped write software during the early days of the consumer internet.
Allison has since held key roles at Microsoft, Palm Computing, and Honey, where, as Chief Operating Officer, he helped scale the company into a global brand that was later acquired by PayPal for $4 billion. Following his success with Honey, he served as head of operations and transformation at Cameo. He later co-founded Pie, an ad-blocking company dedicated to giving people more control over their online experience. Today, he continues to advise several startups and resides in Las Vegas.
At Lock Haven, Allison will discuss themes of resilience, purpose, and professional growth-reflecting on how his college experiences, athletic discipline, and personal determination shaped his professional journey. Students will gain insight into topics such as overcoming adversity, professional development, time management, and translating college experiences into real-world success.
This event is part of CU-Lock Haven's continued effort to connect students with successful alumni and provide meaningful opportunities for mentorship and professional engagement.
