CU-Mansfield to Host Fall Choral Collage

MANSFIELD, PA (10/11/2024) — The Commonwealth University-Mansfield annual Fall Choral Collage will be presented on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 2:30 p.m. in Steadman Theatre.

The Choral Collage presents each of the campus choral ensembles: Grace Notes (sopranos and altos), Steadman Singers (tenors and basses), Chamber Singers, Festival Chorus and Concert Choir in their first major appearances of the season. Peggy Dettwiler will direct the program, which will feature the usual wide variety of choral repertoire with works from the Renaissance to the 21st century.

The Choral Collage is titled "Time Pieces" and will feature works about time. The Festival Chorus will perform the choruses, "Old Time Religion" arranged by Moses Hogan and "Every Time I Feel the Spirit" arranged by William Dawson. The Concert Choir will present the Bob Dylan song, "The Times They are a-Changin'," and songs with clock ticking clucks from the choir, "Clocks" and "Time Pieces." Other selections include "As Time Goes By," "Ain't Got Time to Die" and "Hard Times Come Again No More." The 2024 Concert Choir CD will also be available for purchase.

The program is free and open to the public.
