CU-Mansfield Loomis Gallery to host 'Taking Notes: Works on Paper' by Adam Straus
MANSFIELD, PA (02/27/2024) — Commonwealth University-Mansfield is hosting the exhibition, "Taking Notes: Works on Paper" by Adam Straus through Thursday, March 28, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Loomis Gallery, Allen Hall.
On Thursday, March 28, there will be a workshop from 1-3:30 p.m., an artist talk from 4-5 p.m. in Allen Hall, room 104 and a reception from 5-6:30.
"I have always enjoyed the more spontaneous aspect of working on paper and have used it through the years to work out ideas for larger paintings, but also regard them as standing on their own," Straus said. "It is a medium that lends itself to discovery and a more experimental process. The exhibition is a group of paintings showing various stages and avenues taken from 2005 to 2020."
The exhibition is free and open to the public.
