CU-Mansfield Choral Groups to Perform Sunday

PA (04/18/2024) — The Chamber Singers and the Mansfieldians of Commonwealth University-Mansfield will perform a concert on Sunday, April 21, at 7 p.m. in Steadman Theatre.

The program, entitled "Abide," includes Bach Cantata No. 6, "Bleib bei uns," 19th-century compositions by Johannes Brahms and Josef Rheinberger, and vocal jazz selections by Moses Hogan, Cole Porter, and Irving Berlin. Featured vocal soloists will be Kreslynn Kilmer, Mayson Bryant, Carter Route, and Samantha Feely. A small orchestra will accompany the performance, including solo performances by Susan Laib, English horn, Garet Holdren, cello, and Jared Vamvakius, violin.

The Chamber Singers is a 15-voice choral ensemble chosen to sing selections for chamber choir and the Mansfieldians is a 12-voice group focusing on vocal jazz and contemporary a cappella styles.

The concert is free and open to the public.
