CU-Lock Haven to host summer preview day August 1

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (07/18/2025) — Commonwealth University-Lock Haven will host a Summer Preview Day on Friday, Aug. 1. Check-in will begin at 9 a.m. in the Admissions Office lobby on the first floor of the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center (DACC).

Students will learn about the admission process and preview financial aid options and scholarships. Attendees will begin their visit exploring the Haven Resource Fair at 9 a.m., with staff available to answer questions from residence life; athletics; diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; financial aid; student success center; career development; student activities; disability services; global engagement; TRIO student support services; and Honors College.

A welcome and "Lock Haven 101" presentation will be held at 10 a.m. and highlight the campus experience, application process and cost and financial aid. Following the presentation, the admissions team will host an application walkthrough at 10:45 a.m. During this time, students will be guided through the fall 2026 application process. Students in attendance will be among the first to apply to CU-Lock Haven for fall 2026 and receive their admission decision on-the-spot.

Campus tours will begin at 11:15 a.m. and there will be a cookout on The Commons from noon to 1:30 p.m. with a picnic style lunch, yard games, music and mingling with student leaders and staff. Students will also receive their admissions decision at the cookout and can talk through their admission decision and next steps with the admissions staff.
