CU-Lock Haven Social Work Club wins annual Hunger Bowl
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (11/13/2025) — Throughout the month of October, Commonwealth University-Lock Haven's Outreach for Humanity Club held its annual Hunger Bowl event, surpassing 4,000 in total donations for the Haven Cupboard.
The event brought together faculty, staff and students in a shared effort to support the Haven Cupboard, with 13 groups contributing generously through donations. Results are included below:
Student Clubs/Organizations Results:
First Place: Social Work Club - 309 donations
Second Place: Smith Hall - 190 donations
Third Place: Public Health Club - 160 donations
Faculty/Staff Results:
First Place: "No Limits" (Library) - 2,458 donations
Second Place: Student Success Center - 202 donations
Third Place: Admissions - 177 donations
The top faculty/staff team, "No Limits" from the library, will enjoy a free lunch provided by interim Commonwealth President, Dr. Jeff Osgood, while the winning student organization, Social Work Club, will receive a $100 donation to their club's special account courtesy of SAS Inc.
The success of this year's Hunger Bowl highlights the unwavering generosity and spirit of the Lock Haven University community. Through their contributions, students, faculty and staff continue to make a meaningful impact on campus.
