CU-Lock Haven's 24-hour All In Day of Giving Raises a Record-Breaking $253K for Students

LOCK HAVEN, PA (05/02/2024) — Commonwealth University-Lock Haven raised more than $253,000 in crucial student support during its 10th annual All In Day of Giving. The money raised during the 24-hour fundraiser, held from 10 a.m. Thursday, April 18, to 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, supports academic and athletic scholarships for students at The Haven.

While checks and other gifts continue to come in, as of April 22, donations from 711 alumni, supporters, fans and sponsors like the Lock Haven University Foundation (LHUF) and the Lock Haven University Alumni Association totaled $253,868 - the most ever generated during All In's 10-year history.

"We are truly grateful for the outpouring of support displayed by our alumni, faculty, staff and other proud Bald Eagles who helped make this year's All In Day of Giving a remarkable record-breaking event," said Ashley Koser, LHUF executive director.

"Since 2015, All In has produced nearly $1.5 million in support of Lock Haven students," she added. "This support not only makes a world-class Lock Haven education accessible for more students, but for many of them it can be the difference between whether or not they can afford to finish their degrees. Anyone who made a gift this year, should know just how much they are impacting students' lives."

"Thank you to the generous donors who made Lock Haven's 2024 All In Day of Giving the most successful yet," said Bashar W. Hanna, president. "Your support of our students makes a meaningful difference in their university experience. I, along with the entire leadership team, appreciate the commitment our alumni, supporters, and friends have made to make it possible for future generations of Bald Eagles to achieve their dreams."

Throughout the 24-hour fundraiser various challenges were announced with donors having an opportunity to unlock additional monetary prizes for their favorite academic and athletic programs.

Some challenges included the LHU Foundation First-Time Donor Challenge, the LHU Alumni Association "HAVEN PROUD" Challenge and more.

Periodic status updates were made throughout the event at allin.lockhaven.edu and on the LHU Alumni Association, Lock Haven Athletics and the main CU-Lock Haven Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
