CU-Lock Haven announces 2026 Homecoming festivities
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (09/23/2026) — Commonwealth University-Lock Haven will celebrate Homecoming 2026 from Tuesday, Sept. 29, through Sunday, Oct. 4, with a full slate of athletic competitions, alumni activities, campus traditions and special events.
This year's Homecoming will feature the annual Golf Cart Parade, the 32nd annual Alumni Golf Tournament, alumni athletic events, the Class of 1976's 50th reunion, the dedication of the McCollum Gate at Hubert Jack Stadium, tailgating and Bald Eagle football and much more.
Homecoming festivities begin Tuesday, Sept. 29, when the Lock Haven women's volleyball team hosts Millersville University at 6 p.m. in Thomas Fieldhouse.
On Wednesday, Sept. 30, CU-Lock Haven will celebrate Haven Spirit Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by women's soccer hosting Clarion University at 6:30 p.m. at Hubert Jack Stadium.
Thursday, Oct. 1, features a full day of activities, highlighted by the annual Golf Cart Parade at 6 p.m. This year's parade theme is "Eras of The Haven." The parade will be followed by the Athletics Coaches Show at 7 p.m. at Hangar 9, featuring representatives from Lock Haven athletics and the City of Lock Haven.
Other Thursday activities include a PA State Police helicopter landing at noon in the Upper Zimmerli parking lot and the Student-Alumni Connections: Success in 90 networking event at 3 p.m. in the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center.
On Friday, Oct. 2, activities continue with the 32nd annual Alumni Golf Tournament at Belles Springs Golf Course, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. A craft event will take place at 11 a.m. in the clubhouse. On campus, Lock Haven field hockey will host Saint Louis University at 12:30 p.m. at Charlotte Smith Field.
At 5 p.m., CU-Lock Haven and the Lock Haven University Foundation will celebrate the dedication of the McCollum Gate, a new entrance to Hubert Jack Stadium honoring the legacy of Capt. William R. McCollum. The Class of 1976 will celebrate its 50th reunion with a dinner beginning at 6 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 3, brings the largest slate of Homecoming activities, beginning with the Class of 1976 50th Reunion Breakfast at 8 a.m. in the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center and Admissions VIP Day at 9 a.m. in the Parsons Union Building. Tailgating opens at 9 a.m. in the Hubert Jack Stadium parking lot.
Alumni athletic events throughout the morning include the Alumni Volleyball Game at 10:30 a.m., Alumni Softball Game at 11 a.m. and Alumni Lacrosse Game at 11 a.m.
At 1 p.m., Lock Haven football will host Clarion University at Hubert Jack Stadium. The Class of 1976 will also participate in a campus tour at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Homecoming weekend concludes on campus Sunday with Lock Haven field hockey hosting Rider University at noon at Charlotte Smith Field.
The CU-Lock Haven University Store will also be open throughout Homecoming weekend. Store hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.
