CU-Bloomsburg to Host Health Sciences Symposium, Wellness Fair April 24-25

Bloomsburg, PA (04/21/2025) — Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg will host the 33rd Annual Health Sciences Symposium on Thursday, April 24.

The keynote address will be given by Julie Byerley, MD, on Thursday, April 24, at 5 p.m. in Carver Hall, K.S. Gross Auditorium. Byerley is President of Geisinger College of Health Sciences and Dean of the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Geisinger Health System. Her talk is titled "Predicting the Future: Finding Joy in the Blend of Science and Service as a Health Professional."

In conjunction with the Health Sciences Symposium, the 37th Annual Wellness Fair will be held Friday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Kehr Union Multipurpose Rooms.

The events are sponsored by Commonwealth University's College of Health Science and Technology, and the Community Giving Foundation of Berwick.
