CU-Bloomsburg to Host Dance Minor Concert
Bloomsburg, PA (04/29/2026) — Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg will host the 15th Annual Dance Minor Concert, Healing Rough Waters, presented by the BU Players and Theatre & Dance, on Sunday, May 3, at 3 p.m., and Monday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m., in Carver Hall, K.S. Gross Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.
This year's concert will feature six original dance pieces and one remounted work. Themes will include motherhood, addiction, suicide, memory, finding home, and ocean wellness. Sound scores range from current popular music to classical violin to acoustic Broadway remakes. The choreographers for the program are dance minors Christine Johnson, Cyal Nelson, Caitlyn Ritz, dance student Brianna Tommasulo, dance minor alumna Emma Sperr, and their mentor, professor Julie Petry.
While the overall nature of this production is described as family-friendly, the performance will include instances of adult content mainly via the topics explored by select pieces.
