CU-Bloomsburg Students Receive Alumni Legacy Scholarships
Students Awarded $1,000 for Spring 2024 Tuition
Bloomsburg, PA (12/22/2023) — The Bloomsburg University Alumni Association has announced the recipients of the 2024 Alumni Legacy Scholarship.
The association awards the scholarships each year to current CU-Bloomsburg students who are a child or grandchild of a Bloomsburg University graduate. The scholarship has been a longstanding tradition of the Bloomsburg Alumni Association Board of Directors and has provided over $250,000 in scholarships since 1998.
Bloom alumni can enter their child or grandchild every fall that their student is registered for spring classes at the university. All students are chosen via random drawing, and the entry link can be found at bloomu.edu/alumni. Recipients include:
- Emma Beilman '24, an English major from Old Forge, was entered by Krista Beilman '96.
- Tristan Schartzer '27, an information tech and analytics major from Wycombe, was entered by Lisa Schwartzer '88.
- Derek Pierontoni '27, a nursing major from Shickshinny, was entered by Sara Pierontoni '97.
- Laura Deroba '27, a biology major from Bloomsburg, was entered by Peggy Deroba '91.
- Ethan Leese '26, a business administration management major from York, was entered by Eric Leese '93.
- Zach Curry '27, an engineering science major from Danville, was entered by Jared Curry '06.
- Joshua Heiney '27, a digital forensics and cybersecurity major from Muncy, was entered by Matthew Heiney '91.
- Thomas Greco '25, a digital forensics and cybersecurity major from Lansford, was entered by Mary Ellen Greco '90.
- Cameron O'Neill '22/'24 M, an educational leadership major from Wapwallopen, was entered by Andrea O'Neill '06.
- Ryan Mayshaw '27, an information technology and analytics major from Gauldsboro, was entered by Stephen Mayshaw '95.
- Novalea Verno '26, a mass communications major from York, was entered by Eric Verno '98.
- Aniela Connoly '25, a communication studies major from Carbondale, was entered by Nelly Connolly '91.
