CU-Bloomsburg Hosts High School Diversity Conference
Bloomsburg, PA (11/10/2023) — CU-Bloomsburg Hosts High School Diversity ConferenceCommonwealth University-Bloomsburg hosted the 21st Annual High School Diversity conference on Wednesday, Nov. 1. Approximately 110 students and 18 educators from nine regional schools joined CU-Bloomsburg alumni, students, staff, and faculty, and Bloomsburg community members, for workshops on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Students from the Bloomsburg High School and CU Bloomsburg students kicked off the event by sharing their creative works. The event gave special remembrance to Dr. Mary Harris, retired sociology faculty member and one of the conference founders.
This event is possible through the support of the Susquehanna Community Foundation and Commonwealth University grants and the Bloomsburg Community Government Association (CGA).
