Countertenor and Piano Recital at CU-Mansfield
PA (02/28/2025) — Renowned countertenor Dr. Min Sang Kim and CU-Mansfield's professor of piano Dr. Eun-Joo Kwak will present a guest artist/faculty recital on Thursday, March 13, at 1 p.m. at Commonwealth University-Mansfield's Steadman Theater. Admission is free.
The program will feature compositions by Rossini, Ravel, Joowon Kim, Quilter, and Handel. CU-Mansfield voice faculty member Dr. Alissa Rose will also join for a duet in an opening song.
A graduate of the Juilliard School, Peabody Institute, and New England Conservatory, Kim has performed numerous leading operatic roles at international venues. He is the winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Capitol District, Camille Coloratura Awards, and the Concert Artists International Music Competition. Kim is currently assistant professor of voice at Austin Peay University in Tennessee.
