Commonwealth University-Mansfield Nursing BSN program moves to all four years at Mansfield campus

MANSFIELD, Pa. (02/09/2026) — - Commonwealth University-Mansfield will improve the student experience for its popular Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program by transitioning all four years of instruction to the Mansfield campus beginning in Fall 2026.

Previously, BSN students spent their first two years studying at the Mansfield campus before completing the final two years at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. The program adjustment allows nursing students to earn their BSN without relocating for their studies, while taking better advantage of Mansfield's campus life and academic support for all four years. Robert Packer Hospital will continue to be used during students' clinical rotations with plans to increase opportunities at other regional hospitals.

Mansfield's CCNE-accredited nursing program continues to meet the region's workforce needs, preparing program graduates for in-demand careers, providing essential care across a wide range of healthcare settings. CU nursing graduates are consistently well positioned for employment prior to and shortly after graduation, securing roles across a variety of clinical specialties.

Students supplement on-campus learning with clinical rotations in regional hospitals and community settings - ranging from schools and mental health clinics to home health and public health agencies. Mansfield's on-campus simulated learning labs allow students to learn and practice skills necessary to excel in a nursing career.

Applications are currently being accepted for Fall 2026 enrollment.
