Commonwealth University-Lock Haven announces Community Service Award winners

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (07/28/2025) — Two Commonwealth University-Lock Haven students were the recipients of Community Service Awards for their volunteer efforts during the 2024-25 school academic year.

Bryanna Johnson, of Mansfield, received the Silver Award for completing 198 hours of service. She completed her service hours serving the Little League World Series, shadowing in chiropractic care and the Special Olympics. Johnson is a biomedical sciences, pre-medical science studies major.

Nicolas Manning, of South Williamsport, received the Gold Award for completing 250 hours of service. He completed his service hours by serving in emergency response with a volunteer fire company, helping with fundraisers and events in support of the fire company and tutoring students in music. Manning is a chemistry major.
