Commonwealth University Clearfield to Host Lifelong Learning Institute Program on Family Recovery

CLEARFIELD, PA (11/28/2023) — Commonwealth University-Clearfield, and the Mature Resources Area Agency on Aging (MRAAA) will host the Lifelong Learning Institute program, "What is Family Recovery and Why is it Important" on Tuesday, Dec. 5 in the academic building, room A131.
The program will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. and presented by Bobbie McBurney-Johnston, director of development and planning, MRAAA. The program will discuss the impact of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) on families and define the disease of addiction and explore aspects of recovery and the role family members play in their loved ones' motivation for change and wellness.
