Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg to Host Two Authors
Bloomsburg, PA (04/05/2024) — Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg's Big Dog Reading Series will host readings by two authors in April.
Cassandra Sachar, associate professor of English, will read from her recently published horror novel on Wednesday, April 10, at 5 p.m. in Carver Hall, K.S. Gross Auditorium.
Sachar is a Pennsylvania writer whose work has appeared in more than 40 creative publications including The Horror Zine, Lit Shark Magazine, The Dillydoun Review, and Tales from the Moonlit Path. In addition to her dark suspense novel, "Darkness There but Something More" (Wicked House Publishing), her short horror story collection, "Keeper of Corpses and Other Dark Tales" (Velox Books), is forthcoming this year.
Poet Sarah Audsley will give readings on Wednesday, April 17. She will give an afternoon workshop at 3 p.m. in Hartline Science Center, room G40, and an evening reading at 6 p.m. in the Arts and Administration Building, room 176.
Audsley is the author of "Landlock X" (Texas Review Press, 2023). A Korean American adoptee, a graduate of the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College, and a member of The Starlings Collective, Audsley lives and works in northern Vermont. She is the writing program director at Vermont Studio Center.
