Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg to Host Homecoming Events
Bloomsburg, PA (10/11/2023) — Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg and Bloomsburg University alumni will return to campus and share their Husky pride at Homecoming 2023 from Friday, Oct. 13, to Sunday, Oct. 15.
On Saturday, Oct. 14, the Bloomsburg University Alumni Association will host their annual Alumni Tent Party on the Fenstemaker Alumni House lawn from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature food trucks, a beverage tent, photo booth, children's activities, inflatables, and more. Registration was required to guarantee food voucher and beverage tickets, but alumni walk-ins are welcome. You must be at least 21 years of age with valid photo ID to receive beverage tickets. Prior to the tent party, a historical walking tour of campus will take place with university archivist Robert Dunkelberger.
After the tent party, alumni are encouraged to cheer on the Huskies as they take on the Lock Haven football team at 2 p.m. at Robert Redman Stadium. Tickets are required.
Other homecoming weekend events include:
- The 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Bloomsburg Literary and Art Journal on Friday, Oct. 13. Alumni works gallery talk, noon to 2 p.m., literary reading 2-3 p.m., Haas Gallery and Lobby.
- Bloomsburg Women's Club Rugby vs. Kutztown, Saturday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Recreation Field, Upper Campus.
- Field Hockey vs. Mercyhurst, Saturday, Oct. 14, noon, Steph Pettit Stadium.
- Water Polo Club Tournament, Saturday, Oct. 14, 12:20 p.m., vs. West Chester University, Nelson Field House Pool; 6:20 p.m., vs. Drexel University, Nelson Field House Pool.
