Commonwealth U-Mansfield's WNTE to Host Vinylthon to Support the Mansfield Public Library

Mansfield, PA (04/09/2025) — Commonwealth University-Mansfield's WNTE 89.5 FM is calling on local businesses, organizations, alumni, and residents to help spin for a cause during this year's Vinylthon, a 24+ hour vinyl-only broadcast marathon taking place April 12-13.

All proceeds support the Mansfield Public Library.

From noon on Saturday through the afternoon of Sunday, WNTE will play nothing but vinyl records, showcasing the power of music to bring people together and rally support for a great local institution. Participants include students, staff, alumni, and community members all sharing their favorite vinyl tracks live from the WNTE "fishbowl" studio.

Local businesses and organizations are invited to sponsor airtime during Vinylthon. Sponsorship tiers are:

  • $5 - One Hour
  • $25 - Six Hours
  • $50 - Twelve Hours
  • $100 - Full 24 Hours

In return, sponsors will be recognized on air once for every dollar donated, including their name, address, and brand slogan if desired - providing public recognition and a meaningful way to show community spirit.

Additionally, gift certificates are also welcomed for distribution to visitors stopping by the WNTE studio throughout the event.

Kicking off the event on Saturday from Noon to 2 p.m., Drs. Brad Lint and John Ulrich will host a live punk rock show. On Sunday at noon, Jason Bump from KC 101 will take over the turntables, spinning vinyl into the evening.

Whether you're a vinyl lover, a library supporter, or a local business looking to make a positive impact, Vinylthon is your chance to get involved, have fun, and give back.
