Commonwealth U-Clearfield Hosts Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Event
CLEARFIELD, Pa. (11/07/2023) — Commonwealth University-Clearfield recently hosted a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) training that was well attended by faculty, staff and students from multiple CU locations.
Presenter Pam Watkins from Watkins HR spoke on the importance of equity and inclusion in the workplace. She encouraged discussion of the topic among the participants and engaged with them in an assortment of activities designed to provoke critical thought.
Albert Jones, chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at CU, also spoke about the importance of DEI at Commonwealth University and encouraged students to reach out to him if they were interested in hosting similar programming in the future.
